SupportSoft announced that Bharti Airtel has joined hands with SupportSoft, Inc to use its ServiceGateway(TM) solution. SupportSoft claims that the adoption will enable Airtel to provide India’s first ever automated broadband self-care technology including automated installation and enhanced customer care to its approximately two million broadband subscribers across India.
According to the tie-up, with ServiceGateway dubbed NetXpert Installer, Airtel users will be able to quickly and easily self-install their broadband Internet service which will reduce time-consuming, costly household installation visits by Bharti service technicians or lengthy subscriber calls to customer service executives for help.
The service Gateway will enable the customer service executives to remotely troubleshoot customer premise equipment (CPE) problems which include modem rebooting, change in Wi-Fi settings, reinstalling of modem, or firmware upgrade.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Srinivas Rao, Chief Marketing Officer, Airtel Telemedia Services said “The intent is to provide our customers with a sense of reliability and care in every stage of their association with us right from the on boarding stage onwards. Such Automated support systems will simplify user experience of broadband technologies and improve the quality and consistency of service support that will bring a positive sense of expectation and perception of our services.”
